2011 Bmw 5-Series

BMW 5-Series has been getting recognition lately for its safety systems. It got 5 stars (the top rating) from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). But very recently, the sixth generation of the model series also passed a crash test using preventive protection systems. The model that was tested was a BMW 530d, LHD. Previously, it also got a maximum score on the Safety Assist Euro NCAP testing -- the first BMW model series to achieve this. According to a company statement, Euro NCAP testers certified that the new BMW 5-Series provides an extremely stable passenger cell which ensures extensive protection from injury both for driver and passengers, regardless of their size and seating position. The model got the maximum point score for the protection offered in the side impact test, as well as for seating systems designed for children aged three, for both head-on and side impact. It was also confirmed that the vehicle keeps a stable position and there was minimum head movement noticed at the moment of collision in the use of seating systems made for children aged one and a half and three.
